Description:

These project_areas define in-part all the areas where scientific collection activities will be conducted by approved permittees. project_areas relates to Scientific Collection Permits using a global unique identifier (GUID). This GUID is defined in the 'parentrowid' attribute and points to the same GUID saved as the 'uniquerowid' of the Scientific Collection Permit feature class. This is a one-to-many relationship where multiple project_areas can have the same 'parentrowid' relating back to a single Scientific Collection Permit record.

All project_areas with the exception of roadways and customer defined collection areas (where the user defined the collection area by drawing on a map), are added to the feature class via an automated process that runs nightly.
