 "description": "<DIV STYLE=\"text-align:Left;\"><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>IDFG categorizes wildlife-human conflicts based on human injury and the behavior of the<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>wildlife involved (see attached chart). IDFG will provide guidelines to its personnel for<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>addressing situations involving human injuries or fatalities caused by wildlife attacks on<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>livestock and domestic animals, and nuisance behavior.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN /><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>For incidents involving serious bodily injury or death of a person, the Wildlife-Human<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>Attack Response Team (WHART) will be activated and respond consistent with WHART<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>Guidelines and Procedures. The WHART\u2019s responsibilities include acting to protect the<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>safety of the public and incident responders; attempting to identify, locate, and control the<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>animal(s) involved in the incident; and conducting, documenting and reporting investigative<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>findings.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN /><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>IDFG\u2019s intent is to provide timely and appropriate response to wildlife-human conflicts,<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>particularly attacks on humans, human safety threats, and loss of domestic animals. IDFG<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>may take appropriate measures to control wildlife, up to and including lethal control, in<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>such situations. Control measures will be conducted as safely and humanely as<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>practicable under the circumstances. IDEG may also promote preventative measures to<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 0 0;\"><SPAN><SPAN>reduce such conflicts.<\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN /><\/P><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV>",
